His PROVEN Story
Carter “Chop” Czapski has learned that expectations and opinions mean very little compared to the work you are willing to put in. As a 6'2", 215-pound linebacker at Utica High School, Carter has dealt with people questioning his size and whether he would live up to the hype surrounding him. He has also had to learn how to handle the constant talking and criticism that comes with being an athlete with expectations. Instead of allowing those opinions to dictate his emotions or his path, Carter changed the one thing he could control: his work ethic.

That commitment has helped Carter develop both on and off the field. At JD Speed Performance, he has continued to improve his speed and overall athleticism while developing the discipline required to consistently put the work in. Over the past three years, Carter is most proud of how much he has grown not only as a football player, but also as a person.
The results have followed. Carter earned All-MAC, All-County, All-Region and All-State honors, with becoming All-State as a junior standing as his proudest accomplishment so far. He has also earned college offers from Miami (Ohio), Kent State, UMass, Grand Valley State, Ferris State, Northwood and Dayton.

For Carter, PROVEN means working even when nobody is watching because you know eventually the work will pay off. That mentality continues to drive him as he prepares for the next level. Over the next 12 months, his goal is simple: continue getting better and put himself in position to eventually earn a starting role as a true freshman in college.

His message to younger athletes comes directly from his own experience: Never stop working. People are going to talk and people are going to hate, but you cannot allow their opinions to dictate your emotions or your work.

NOT PREDICTED. EARNED.

PROVEN.
